BTS’ SUGA started his alternative military service in September 2023 as a public social worker.
On March 28, Dispatch reported that BTS’ SUGA was transferred to the Nonsan Training Center to receive basic military training.
Dispatch event released photos and videos of him arriving at the Nonsan Training Center.
SUGA, who started his mandatory public service work in September last year, will proceed with his assigned duties in the public service position after finishing the mandatory training.
SUGA decided to start his public service before basic training, unlike most recruits who begin with basic training. The current enlistment regulations permit individuals assigned to public service to make this choice.
Some enlistees opt for this because it assigns them to a random position instead of letting them choose, which could be closer to home. Those wanting to select their positions may face delays in starting their duties due to the limited availability of public service positions compared to the number of enlistees.
As per reports, Jin also accompanied SUGA as he entered the military training center.
