The collaboration track Wherever U R by BTS’ V and American singer-songwriter UMI took the world by storm. It dominated the iTunes charts across different countries, which is an impressive feat.
Wherever U R released at 2 PM (Korean time) on V’s birthday, 30th December, quickly climbed the charts and reached the top spot on the iTunes Top Song chart in a whopping 89 countries/regions by 10 AM on December 31.
It topped major music markets in countries like the US, UK, Canada, and Germany. Wherever U R also soared to the top of the Worldwide iTunes Song chart and the European iTunes Song chart on its release day.
Previously, UMI shared that Wherever U R is a heartfelt song that delivers love to people in different times and places. The combination of the cozy and lively accompaniment, along with the captivating voices of V and UMI, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere.
It’s even more meaningful because UMI composed the song, and V joined as a featured artist. Plus, the fact that it was released on V’s birthday adds an extra special touch for fans.
