BTS’s Kim Taehyung, known worldwide as V, made a historic and unforgettable appearance at Vogue World: Hollywood on October 26, 2025. His attendance was made even more special by a personal invitation from Vogue and a dedicated digital cover. He was the first K-pop singer to ever attend the prestigious Vogue World event.
In the days leading up to the star-studded event, excitement started to build on social media. V was spotted at Incheon International Airport on October 25, departing for Los Angeles.
He wore a sleek, dark-toned outfit by CELINE, which set the tone for a trip to a stylish event. Before boarding, he gave fans a glimpse of his playful side by sharing a short video on his Instagram Story with the caption, “I’ll enjoy Vogue and come back.”
Just hours before the event began, Vogue Japan revealed V as the star of their Vogue World: Hollywood Special Digital Cover. The concept drew inspiration from James Dean, fusing the nostalgia of classic cinema with a modern, edgy twist. The photos perfectly aligned with the event’s film-meets-fashion theme.
In July, Anna Wintour, the then Editor-in-Chief of Vogue, personally invited V to the Vogue World: Hollywood event. A clip from that moment went viral, showing Wintour warmly saying to him, “We’re hoping to see you in Hollywood this October.”
Fans celebrated it as “THEE IT BOY behaviour,” pointing out how naturally he connects music, fashion, and culture at a global level.
This year’s Vogue World was held at the legendary Paramount Pictures Studios in Los Angeles, a venue that perfectly embodied the event’s cinematic theme. Under the title Vogue World: Hollywood, the show celebrated the intersection of film and fashion.
Anna Wintour described it as a “one-night-only show with a huge cast” that paid tribute to “the most inspiring characters in cinema history.” The event featured a powerful creative team, including choreography by Fatima Robinson, music direction by Aron Forbes and Derek Renfroe, and set design by Jess Gonchor.
It was a true collaboration between top Hollywood costume designers and major fashion houses, which created one-of-a-kind looks inspired by classic films.
All ticket proceeds were donated to the Entertainment Community Fund, supporting costume professionals affected by the recent Los Angeles wildfires. Performances were headlined by Doja Cat — who recently released her fifth studio album Vie in September — and Gracie Abrams, who appears on the cover of Vogue Spain’s November 2025 issue.
The guest list was packed with major names, including Nicole Kidman, Miley Cyrus, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ashley Park, Dakota Johnson, Ayo Edebiri, Greta Lee, Karol G, Rina Sawayama, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, and Mona Zaki.
When V arrived, he immediately stood out. He wore a custom JayBaek Couture design — a modern reinterpretation of Korea’s traditional Hanbok. The outfit incorporated jade, a material historically used in the belts of kings during the Joseon Dynasty, giving the look both elegance and cultural depth.
A norigae hung from Taehyung’s coat — a traditional Korean pendant usually worn with a woman’s hanbok. It’s both a charm and an ornament, featuring delicate knots and tassels. It symbolizes blessings like longevity, prosperity, and happiness, often treasured as family heirlooms.
This is not the first time the 29-year-old singer has worn a custom fit from JayBaek Couture. He attended the ‘2025 Paradise Art Night’ in Seoul on September 1, wearing an exclusive custom all-black ensemble from the designer.
Inside the venue, V was seated in the same row as Anna Wintour. During Doja Cat’s performance, he was seen clapping enthusiastically before the song even ended. His brief interaction with Conan Gray also went viral on social media.
On the work front, V, along with BTS members, is working hard on the upcoming group album, which is likely slated for March 2026.
