V’s new digital single FRI(END)S, which dropped on March 15 (Korean time), secured the number one spot on the iTunes ‘Top Song’ chart in 87 countries/regions worldwide as of 7 AM on March 16. Additionally, this track also claimed the top position on the US iTunes, Worldwide iTunes Song, and European iTunes Song charts.

V’s FRI(END)S music video is garnering a positive reception, quickly climbing to the top spots on the Top Trending Music YouTube charts in various countries right after its release. The MV has already exceeded 6.7 million views on March 16 as of 8 AM.

This new heartfelt ‘confession song’ is perfectly suited for the blossoming spring season. This pop-soul R&B track highlights V’s versatile vocals, seamlessly transitioning between sweet melodies, deep tones, and falsetto, creating a harmonious blend.

The lyrics depict the desire to transition a long-standing friendship into something deeper, symbolized by the title ‘FRIENDS’ with ‘END’ in parentheses, subtly conveying this narrative.

On March 16, BIGHIT MUSIC is hosting a fan event called FRI(END)S PARTY at a cafe in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, aiming to provide her fans with various ways to enjoy the new song.
