BTS members V (Kim Taehyung) and Jungkook recently revealed their lighthearted rules for ARMY when they go running together by the Han River. Known affectionately as Taekook, the duo shared both funny and strict guidelines for fans who might encounter them during their workouts.
During a surprise Weverse live on August 29, Jungkook joked about their cardio plans at the Han River, admitting that they were worried ARMY might show up unexpectedly. “We were planning to do cardio at the Han River, but we were worried if ARMYs would come to catch us like Pokémon Go or something,” he laughed.
V followed up with his own humorous advice, suggesting that fans simply act as if they don’t recognize them. “Instead, just pretend not to know us. Just focus on running!” he said.
To make their intentions even clearer, V and Jungkook laid out an amusing list of “rules” for ARMYs. They requested no acting like you personally know them, no talking during the run, and no mouthing “I’m ARMY” while pointing to yourself.
They also emphasized no overtaking, joking that it could hurt their pride, and no teasing comments like “BTS, that’s all you can do.” The two even added that fans should not take photos of them sweating or “drooling mid-run.”
And if either of them is walking instead of running, Jungkook and V reminded fans not to assume they are tired, insisting it’s actually “strategic pacing.”
Their surprise Weverse live attracted 17.8 million views in just 1.5 hours. Jungkook gave ARMYs a little tour of his new house and wardrobe, which is predominantly black. The “Seven” singer promised to go live from the Han River and teased a special live on his birthday, September 1.
During the livestream, he also exercised while V snacked on food. ARMYs are always looking forward to their late-night, candid Weverse livestreams, especially after military service.
Previously, BTS came live on Weverse earlier this month from a beach in LA and shared updates on what they have been up to and the upcoming album.
After staying in LA for over a month, V and Jungkook are back in Korea, and may return soon to work on the BTS album, coming out in Spring next year.
