“Business Proposal” Star Ahn Hyo Seop to Star in a New Romantic Comedy

Following the phenomenal success of the 2022 hit series ‘Business Proposal’, Ahn Hyo Seop is set to return to the comedy genre after several years.

He swooned viewers with his portrayal of Kang Tae Moo in the office romance drama “Business Proposal”, the CEO of Go Food.

On March 17, IZE exclusively reported that Ahn Hyo Seop is set to star in a new romantic comedy, tentatively titled “Sold Out Again Today Too”. 

‘Sold Out Again Today Too” is a romantic comedy that tells the story of two people who find love and healing while overcoming their emotional scars.

Ahn Hyo Seop stars as Matthew Lee, a charming farmer, who falls for Dam Ye Jon, a TV host struggling with insomnia. Together, they help each other heal and discover love.

The drama’s female lead has not been cast yet and auditions are currently underway among several popular actresses.

Ahn is a highly sought-after actor and heartthrob in South Korea, known for his striking features and tall height. His standout performance in the 2022 SBS drama “Business Proposal” earned him the title of “King of Romantic Comedy”.

The 29-year-old actor is known for his appearances in “Dr. Romantic”, “A Time Called You”, “Abyss”, “Still 17”, and more.

The upcoming Kdrama will be helmed by director Ahn Jong Yeon, known for “Seoul Busters”, and written by rookie screenwriter Jin Seung Hee. 

Production will be handled by Beyond J, the company behind hits like “Nevertheless”, “The Killer’s Shopping List”, and “The Scandal of Chun Hwa”. The series is slated to air on SBS in 2026.

On another note, Ahn Hyo Seop is gearing up for the July release of his film debut, “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint”. This fantasy action movie is based on a popular novel that has been serialized for over a decade. He will play the lead role of Kim Dok Ja, starring alongside Lee Min Ho, Jisoo, Chae Soobin, and Nana. His film debut is expected to be a major blockbuster in 2025.
