The “Tazza” film series is returning with its fourth and final chapter, titled “Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub” (working title). After six years, the iconic Korean gambling franchise is back. This installment will bring the high-stakes story to a dramatic close. The film began shooting in September and is currently in production, with a theatrical release planned for 2026.
“Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub” tells the story of Jang Tae Young, played by Byun Yo Han, a man born with a sharp instinct for money. In his younger years, set in the early 2000s, Jang Tae Young and his best friend Park Tae Young entered KAIST together as top students.
Their close bond eventually breaks when Park Tae Young betrays him, leaving Jang Tae Young’s life in ruins. After the betrayal, Jang plunges into the poker business, believing it will give him control over the world again. Instead, it leads him into a dangerous global gambling game where everything is at stake and where he must face the friend who took everything from him.
Roh Jae Won plays Park Tae Young, a natural poker genius who has always lived in Jang Tae Young’s shadow. After entering the poker business at his friend’s suggestion, he becomes consumed by ambition and obsession.
Roh Jae Won, who gained global attention for his role as Nam Gyu, Thanos’ right-hand man, in “Squid Game” Seasons 2 and 3, is expected to create strong tension opposite Byun Yo Han.
The cast also includes Im Se Mi as Jang Tae Hee, the older sister of Jang Tae Young. Her character plays an important role in sparking the rivalry between the two men.
Ayaka Miyoshi joins the franchise as Kaneko, a powerful figure who expands the scale of the story beyond Korea. Kaneko is the head of a yakuza-backed company who takes interest in the poker business involving Jang Tae Young and Park Tae Young.
Ayaka Miyoshi is a top Japanese model turned actress known internationally for her role as “An” in Netflix’s “Alice in Borderland.” She has openly expressed her affection for Korean culture on multiple occasions. Following iconic female characters played by Kim Hye Soo and Shin Se Kyung, Kaneko adds a new dimension to the “Tazza” universe.
The film is directed by Choi Kook Hee, known for directing No Way Out: The Roulette, Life is Beautiful, Tale of Cinema, and more.
Since its first release, the “Tazza” series has left a strong mark on Korean cinema. It became known for weaving gambling themes such as hwatu cards and poker into gripping stories.
This fourth installment pushes that formula further by moving into the global poker scene. The newly released signature image features a fly symbolizing Beelzebub and a bloody fingerprint on a poker card.
As production continues, the film “Tazza 4” will arrive in 2026.
