The 26-year-old actor is currently considering a romance drama “I’ll Give You the Universe” (literal title).

According to an exclusive report by Kuki News on January 31, he has been cast as the male lead in this upcoming series, penned by writer Soo Jin.

“I’ll Give You the Universe” is a coming-of-age romance that tells the story of two in-laws who are filled with misunderstandings about each other. As they raise their niece Woo Joo together, they grow and learn alongside each other.

Bae In Hyuk plays Seon Tae Hyung, a photography assistant who gets into a custody battle with his in-law Woo Hyun Jin over raising Universe. Eventually, they decide to live together and raise him as a team and unexpectedly fall in love.

Bae In-hyuk, who made his debut in 2019, has been impressively expanding his acting range with emotional performances.

His standout roles in dramas like “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract,” “Cheer Up,” “Why Her?,” and “At a Distance, Spring is Green” have catapulted him from rising star to leading man.

Currently, his romantic drama “Check-in Hanyang” is winning hearts with its sweet and charming storyline.

It follows the story of four interns, who work at Yongcheonru, the grandest guesthouse in Joseon. Each has a secret: a prince hiding his identity, a woman disguising herself as a man, the reluctant heir, and a young man trying to save his family’s reputation. The drama, which premiered on December 21 last year, is set to conclude on February 9.

On another note, “I’ll Give You the Universe” is slated to air on tvN in 2025.
