Choi Wooshik is set to prove his range as an actor once more!
As per reports by Korean media outlets on August 7, the Parasite actor is reportedly cast in the new Disney+ project, The Walking (Working title), directed by Kim Tae Gon.
The Walking is written by Train to Busan writer Park Joo Suk and produced by the Climax Studio.
The Waking is a giant-themed creature story that explores the clash between two opposing forces: an organization responsible for controlling and managing giants, and a rival group that strongly opposes their existence.
Choi Wooshik plays Jun Ho, a regular guy who works at a cold storage facility. When he accidentally gets a hold of a powerful stone, his life changes forever. The stone’s power causes Jun Ho’s body to grow to a giant size, and he suddenly finds himself at the center of a complex situation. With his new giant size, Jun Ho infiltrates the organization and gets entangled in a thrilling adventure.
His agency, Fable Company, has confirmed that he has received an offer for the project and is currently considering it. The Disney Plus series, slated for release in the first half of next year, is moving quickly to finalize its cast, with Choi Wooshik being the first to be approached.
After debuting in 2011, Choi Wooshik has appeared in many domestically and globally acclaimed dramas and films including Parasite, Okja, Our Beloved Summer, Time to Hunt, and More.
