Directed by Takahiro Miki, the film starred Shunsuke Michieda and Riko Fukumoto. Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight captured hearts with its moving story of love and memory loss. It begins filming on July 5, 2025, and aims to deliver the same emotional depth, this time with a fresh Korean perspective.

‘Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight’ Plot

The film adapts Ichijo Misaki’s novel about a sweet but heartbreaking romance. It follows a girl with anterograde amnesia who forgets everything each time she wakes up, and a boy who tries to stay by her side no matter what.

Cast and Characters

Choo Young Woo as Kim Jae Won

Choo Young Woo, known for dramas like Trauma Code: Heroes on Call and The Tale of Lady Ok, makes his movie debut here. He plays Kim Jae Won, a young man drifting through life with no purpose until he meets Han Seo Yoon. Choo shared that he loved the original story and is excited to bring it to life on screen.

I really wanted to be part of this project because I enjoyed both the original novel and the movie. From the moment I got the offer, I had high hopes and I really want to do well.

He is currently starring in tvN’s ongoing drama, Head Over Heels, which premiered on June 23 and wraps on July 29.

Shin Si Ah as Han Seo Yoon

Shin Si Ah, who starred in The Witch: Part 2. The Other One and Resident Playbook, plays Han Seo Yoon. Her character stays playful and bright despite losing her memories every day. Shin, a fan of the novel, said she feels grateful to play Seo Yoon and wants to touch hearts with her sincere acting.

As a fan of the original novel, I’m so happy and excited to play a character from a work I love. I will do my best during filming so that the warmth and sincerity can be delivered well to the audience.

Shin Si Ah recently switched agencies and signed with Management SOOP. The future looks bright for the young actress as she has secured a leading role in the Hong Sisters’ forthcoming drama, Grand Galaxy Hotel, with Lee Do Hyun.

Production

The remake of Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight is backed by BY4M Studio, known for The Firefighters and Hitman 2. Bluefire Studio, under Red Ice Studio, famous for webtoons like Solo Leveling, is producing. Director Kim Hye Young, praised for Way Back Love and It’s Okay, will lead the project.

Release Date

Filming starts on July 5, with a goal to release the film in Korean theaters in late 2025. Fans of heartfelt romance stories are already waiting to see how this remake brings a beloved tale to life in a new way.
