Bae Jin Young, a member of CIX and formerly Wanna One has left his management agency, C9 Entertainment. He will now be exploring new opportunities under a new label.
According to reports from Ten Asia, on August 4, the 24-year-old K-pop idol decided not to renew his contract with C9 Entertainment. The decision to part ways with the agency was reportedly made after a thorough and lengthy discussion.
He pursued activities under C9 Entertainment for 7 years, however, he is now looking for a fresh start with a new agency.
In 2017, Bae Jin Young appeared on ‘Produce 101 Season 2’ as a relatively new trainee with only 11 months of experience. Despite initial doubts, he showed remarkable improvement and growth, earning a spot in the popular project group Wanna One.
As a member of Wanna One, he honed his skills and contributed to the group as a sub-vocalist. After Wanna One disbanded in January 2019, Bae Jin Young made a solo debut, releasing his debut album Hard to Say Goodbye in April 2019.
Instead of going solo, Bae Jin Young debuted with CIX in July 2019 as a center, main dancer, and vocalist.
On the other hand, C9 Entertainment manages EPEX, Cignature, Good Day, Juniel, Lee Seok Hoon, Younha, Pia, Jung Joon Young, and more.
