In a recent development, it is reported by Korean media outlets that the convicted sex-offender Jung Joon Young is set to resume music activities. 

He is attempting a comeback in the music industry steps to after serving a 5-year prison sentence for gang rape.

The disgraced former K-pop star Jung Joon Young has revealed plans to revive his music career as a producer, signaling a potential return to the entertainment industry despite his controversial past.

After his prison release, he is aware of the public’s backlash and is trying to rebrand himself as a music producer, rather than a singer. He’s eager to continue his music career, but in a different role, and has been contacting industry insiders to work together.

A new BBC documentary about the 2019 Club Burning Sun scandal has sparked interest in Jung Joon Young’s life after prison. With rumors of him planning to leave the country and hints of a music comeback, netizens are curious about his next move.

In 2016, Jung Joon-young and three others gang-raped women and secretly filmed them. He was later sentenced to 5 years in prison for sharing the videos in a group chat with others, including Seungri. 

He was released from prison in March and is now trying to make a comeback. However, he is widely seen as the ringleader of a shocking sex crime case and has been largely shunned by the entertainment industry.
