The prestigious Golden Disk Awards is set to make its highly-anticipated return to Japanese soil! For the first time in 14 years, the coveted awards show will take place in Japan again.
On October 31, officials announced that the 39th Golden Disc Awards will take place on January 4-5, 2025, at the Fukuoka PayPay Dome in Japan.
The Fukuoka PayPay Dome, accommodating 35,000 fans, will host a spectacular two-day K-pop event.
Key announcements will be made on the following dates:
- November 4: MC lineup reveal
- December 2: Nominee announcements (available on the official website and Social media channels)
- Early December: Performance lineup reveal (sequential announcements)
The event will be held overseas for the sixth time, with Japan hosting for the second time, following the 26th edition (2011) in Osaka.
The Golden Disc Awards 2025 honors Korea’s most cherished music of the year. On January 4, the Digital Music Category Awards will celebrate the best digital music releases, while January 5 will focus on outstanding albums through the Album Category Awards.
Moreover, fans can expect exclusive stages and performances from their favorite artists.
