JTBC’s Doctor Slump has claimed the top spot among non-English language series on Netflix.
According to Netflix, Doctor Slump racked up an impressive 2.9 million views from the 29th of January to the 4th of February. It’s officially the most-watched non-English language series worldwide.
Doctor Slump made a significant jump of 8 places from last week, going from 9th place to the top spot. It’s not just popular in Korea, but also in 9 other countries, including Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. In fact, it even made it into the top 10 in a total of 31 countries.
Doctor Slump is a heartwarming romantic comedy that tells the story of Nam Ha-neul (played by Park Shin-hye) and Yeo Jeong-woo (played by Park Hyeong-sik). Their lives were going well until they suddenly faced obstacles that halted their progress. The show beautifully portrays their journey of healing and finding love.
Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik finally reunited after 11 years since The Heirs in 2013. And it’s even more exciting because it’s Park Shin-hye’s comeback work after three years. Viewers are loving the shoe as the ratings have been going up thanks to the warm comfort and excitement the show brings.
