DXMON’s JO, famous for his quirky ‘sea urchin hair,’ has left the group due to health issues. His agency, H Music Entertainment, shared the news on the fan cafe on September 29, explaining his decision to step back from the group after taking a break.
The former DXMON maknae decided to end his group activities after in-depth discussions with the agency.
In an official statement, the label announced, “JO has recently taken a break for health reasons, and after in-depth discussions with our agency, has decided to conclude his activities as part of DXMON.”
H Music Entertainment asked fans to support JO and the reorganized DXMON group.
Following his departure, DXMON will continue as a five-member group, consisting of Minjae, Seita, Hee, TK, and Rex.
Prior to his departure, the 16-year-old K-pop star had repeatedly announced hiatuses since June due to health concerns. Fans were particularly distressed by his absence from the group’s official social media accounts.
Notably, Jo, the group’s youngest member at just 15 years old, had gained fame for his distinctive “sea urchin” hairstyle.
DXMON entered the entertainment scene in January with the release of their debut album, Hyperspace911.
