Coachella’s weekend may be over, but the online buzz surrounding BLACKPINK and ENHYPEN’s performances continues. The debate over ENHYPEN’s live vocals and the mixed reactions to Jennie and Lisa’s sets have turned into a full-blown fan war.
Fans of both groups are clashing over everything from crowd size to live vocals. It seems like every K-pop fan has an opinion on the matter, and the internet is divided.
Jennie and Lisa made their solo Coachella 2025 debuts on April 11 and 13 respectively. On the other hand, ENHYPEN became the fastest K-pop boy band to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
ENHYPEN gave a rousing performance and received rave reviews from international publications and critics. Their set became the second-most watched Coachella 2025 live performance with over 400K views. They are only surpassed by renowned singer Beyoncé’s 2018 performance (458K live views).
ENHYPEN performed intricate choreography while singing live. Despite performing non-stop for 45 minutes, their energy did not drop and they kept the crowds energized till the end.
On the other hand, Jennie and Lisa’s sets received mixed reviews for lack of live locals and energy.
After their performances, the rivalry between BLINKs (BLACKPINK fans) and ENGENEs (ENHYPEN fans)reached a boiling point. Both groups are fiercely defending their idols’ Coachella performances, with some fans taking it too far and trading hurtful comments. A tweet from BLINK featuring a photo of ENHYPEN’s Coachella crowd with the caption “second-largest crowd in question” set off a firestorm online.
An additional tweet, which has around 9 million views, showed a clip of ENHYPEN talking about the second most-watched performance. The tweet was posted with the caption, “I am crying they think they got more viewers than pinkchella”
The post has garnered nearly 2 million impressions and many BLINKs shared their opinion with negative comments.
