Sunoo, a member of ENHYPEN, has once again shown his commitment to helping those in need. On December 19, Samsung Medical Center announced that the 22-year-old idol donated 50 million won to support children and adolescents undergoing cancer treatment.
According to the hospital, the donation will be used for psychological and emotional support programs. These programs help young patients reduce anxiety before surgery and create a more stable and comfortable environment during treatment.
Sunoo explained that the donation was inspired by the love he receives from his fans. He said
Thanks to the love and support of my fans, I was able to take part in this meaningful act of giving. I wanted to give back, even if only a little, the kindness I received from my fans, and I hope it becomes a warm ray of hope that brightens this cold winter. I also hope it can be of some help and encouragement to pediatric and adolescent patients who are about to undergo surgery.
This is not Sunoo’s first act of generosity. In December of last year, he donated 100 million won to the same hospital under the name “Patient Happiness Fund.” That donation helped patients who were struggling to continue treatment due to financial difficulties.
In March of this year, Sunoo also donated 30 million won to support victims of wildfires in Korea. It was later revealed that he made these donations without informing his agency in advance.
Sunoo is signed under BELIFT LAB, and his agency confirmed that the donations were made privately.
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN is preparing for a busy period ahead. The group is set to release their seventh mini album, THE SIN: VANISH, next month.
