Eugene, a former member of S.E.S, has shown her support and appreciation for NewJeans and CEO Min Hee Jin amid the HYBE-ADOR feud.
On June 1, the 43-year-old singer and actress took to Instagram to share the message of support for CEO Min and NewJeans under intense scrutiny in the midst of conflict with parent company, HYBE.
She addressed NewJeans as her ‘beloved juniors’ and then began to admire Min Hee Jin, saying,
“While it was a brief meeting while working on the S.E.S 10th anniversary album, Min Hee Jin left an impression on me as a “cool and amazing talent,” and she created NewJeans!”
She went on to say, “With their lovable members, their music, and the retro vibe, it was enough to make me a fan…!” She expressed happiness that they’re not parting ways, “And as a fan, I am so, so happy that Min Hee Jin and NewJeans are not parting ways…!”
She looked forward to NewJeans ‘amazing activities and vowed to support them.
Min Hee Jin, CEO of subsidiary ADOR, is engaged in an ongoing legal battle with the parent company, HYBE, over the control of management rights. In a recent development, the Seoul Central District Court’s Civil Agreement Division 50, presided over by Chief Judge Kim Sang Hoon, granted a provisional injunction filed by CEO Min on May 30.
As a result, HYBE was blocked from exercising its voting rights and attempting to remove her from her position at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders.
Lastly, she held a second press conference on May 31 and shared her stance on the situation.
