Min Hee Jin is currently embroiled in multiple lawsuits from HYBE’s subsidiaries and a former ADOR employee.
When her feud with HYBE began in April last year, it was revealed that she tried to cover up a sexual harassment incident involving ADOR’s vice president.
On March 24 The former ADOR employee, hereafter referred to as A, took to social media to announce that they had received official documentation from the Labor Office and proceeded to publicly share the details.
According to A, former CEO Min Hee Jin was fined for violating her duty to conduct an objective investigation and for workplace bullying, especially verbal abuse. The fine is a significant penalty, exceeding a simple warning. Workplace bullying is a notable issue, affecting 12% of workplaces.
Here is what A shared in the latest social media update
Today (March 24), I received the Labor Office’s decision notice via registered mail. Thank you sincerely for your support. Many have expressed curiosity about the results, so I’m sharing the key points below:
1. (Petition 1) Ms. Min Hee-jin’s failure to conduct an impartial investigation was recognized, resulting in a fine.
2. (Petition 2) Workplace harassment (verbal abuse, etc.) by Ms. Min Hee-jin was acknowledged, and she was fined. While the degree of recognition was only 12%, the fine reflects a significant level of accountability.
3. I gave Ms. Min multiple chances – four chances – to resolve this through an apology, but she refused and instead filed a lawsuit against me. I no longer expect an apology.
4. I will continue to respond earnestly to the remaining legal cases, including the lawsuit she filed against me.
5. External investigations confirmed workplace harassment by the vice president but couldn’t determine sexual harassment. The Labor Office agreed, and no fine was imposed.
6. To all workers, the vulnerable, and victims – stay strong!
Former ADOR employee
The ex-employee filed civil and criminal complaints against CEO Min last August. A had previously made several allegations, including that Min had engaged in workplace bullying, such as verbal abuse. She also accused her of improperly handling a sexual incident involving the Vice-Chairman at the time.
A took legal action against Min Hee Jin by filing complaints for defamation and violating the Personal Information Protection Act at the Mapo Police Station in Seoul. Additionally, A reported former CEO Min and his deputy to the Seoul Western Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, citing unfair labor practices and labor-management irregularities.
During mediation, A proposed a condition for settlement if the former ADOR CEO acknowledges his mistakes and apologizes, she is willing to meditate. However, her legal representatives refused to accept the claim.
A revealed giving former Representative Min four opportunities to apologize and resolve the issue, but instead, Min Hee Jim chose to take legal action. As a result, A feels that an apology is no longer necessary.
Meanwhile, the decision on the defamation lawsuits filed by ILLIT and LE SSERAFIM’s agencies against Min Hee Jin for spreading false information is pending.
