Three members of EXO – Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Chen – have called an emergency press conference to address serious concerns about unfair treatment by their former management agency, SM Entertainment.
EXO’s subunit CBX has alleged unfair treatment by their agency, SM Entertainment. INB100, the representative agency of the three EXO members, has scheduled an emergency press conference for the afternoon of June 10 to address the issues.
INB100 mentioned that last June, EXO’s CBX finished legal actions, such as ending the exclusive contract and submitting a complaint to the Fair Trade Commission
They further clarified that back then, they settled the matter through talks, prioritizing EXO’s regular engagements above all else. As per the agreement then, the individual names and endeavors of the artists as EXO’s CBX were to be managed by INB100.
The label mentioned that SM Entertainment is not honoring the terms of the negotiation that set the foundation for the agreement and is asking INB100 to give up ‘10%’ of the sales from the artists’ individual activities.
Furthermore, they stated that SM Entertainment has not responded to them for over two months, therefore, will be holding an urgent press conference today to make the matter public.
