The highly-anticipated winter comeback of the popular K-pop group EXO has been reportedly postponed due to a conflict between three of its members, Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin (collectively known as CBX), and their management agency, SM Entertainment.

The legal representative of three members of EXO  held a press conference to expose SM Entertainment’s alleged unfair treatment regarding financial issues and contract disputes.

On June 11, insiders in the music industry revealed that EXO planned to release a full album during the winter season and discussed their future activities. Their main goal was to produce a winter-themed song that truly embodies the spirit of the season, steering away from high-energy performance tracks.

They aspired to recreate the success of First Snow, a cherished song that deeply connected with fans last winter despite being released many years ago.

Later on, discussions about the winter album project were put on hold in the earlier part of the year because of the members’ solo endeavors. It was hinted that they were contemplating a winter album release, but this plan faced unexpected challenges.

Since CBX and SM had a major conflict last year, many believe that they have reached a point of no return with this recent press conference. In response, SM Entertainment has refuted all rumors and announced legal action.

Consequently, it’s looking unlikely that fans will get to enjoy EXO’s album this winter unless they can come to another agreement.
