While EXO’s full-group comeback is not happening this year, members will keep EXO-Ls entertained with solo releases.

In fact, two EXO members Xiumin and Kai will make solo comebacks in the first quarter of 2025. The 34-year K-pop star is confirmed to return to the music scene next month.

Since he has not been active as a solo artist for the past 3 years, he is finally ending his solo hiatus with the upcoming release.

On February 4, Xport News reported that Xiumin is gearing up to make a comeback, with an album scheduled for March.

He made his solo debut with the album “Brand New” in 2022 and unveiled a new side of himself as a solo artist. Although the EXO member has lent his voice to drama OSTs like “Mr. Queen” and “CEO-dol Mart”, he has been on a hiatus as a soloist for the past three years.

Notably, this album holds special significance as it’s his first solo project under his new label, INB100, following his departure from SM Entertainment in 2023.

Previously, D.O. revealed that EXO will not make a comeback this year during an interview for his movie “Secret: Untold Melody.” Understandably, this disappointed many fans who were waiting for a full group comeback for a year.

However, the announcement of members’ solo endeavors has brought some joy to the fandom. Kai, who is scheduled to be discharged from the military, will make a comeback in the first quarter. Sehun will be the last member to be discharged in September, following that, EXO members will begin preparing for the 2026 comeback, with Lay also in talks to join.

In addition to his solo album release in March, Xiumin with his EXO groupmates Chen and Baekhyun will hold a fan meeting in Japan on February 8-9.
