Four talented acts, NCT’s Doyoung, Kim Woojin, Lee Chan Won, and TIOT released their highly-awaited new albums on April 22.
Ever since their album dropped, fans have been eagerly waiting for the first-day album sales figures.
First off, NCT’s Doyoung made his debut as a soloist with his first full-length album, YOUTH. NCTzens and solo stans were quite excited for the release of his debut album. It sold 238,996 copies on day 1 and all songs are performing well on the domestic chart.
Secondly, former Stray Kids member Kim Woojin released the third mini album I LIKE THE WAY, which sold 856 copies on the first day. His previous works The moment: a minor and The moment: Bounce records sales of 1660 and 538 albums on the first day.
I LIKE THE WAY marked Kim Woojin’s first album after signing with a new label, Kustomade.
Lee Chan Won’s latest album bright;燦 saw strong sales on the first day and was the highest-selling album among all artists on April 22.
bright;燦 achieved the highest first-day sales record among all of Lee Chan Won’s albums, selling 501,696 copies. It surpassed the first-day sales of his previous albums ONE (499,789) and ..Gift (61,594).
Last but not least, TIOT also recorded their highest first-day sales with the mini album, Kick-Start, selling 16,314 copies. They broke the personal record set by their previous work, Frame the Blueprint: Prelude to Possibilities (10,515).
Lastly, these figures are just for the first-day sales and likely going to go up in the coming days.
