First Look and Release Date Announced for ‘Friendly Rivalry’ Starring Hyeri and Jung Soo Bin

A heart-pumping drama “Friendly Rivalry” is premiering next month.

This upcoming STUDIO X+U’s mystery thriller stars Hyeri, Jung Soo Bin, Kang Hye Won, and Oh Woo Ri.

On January 9, U+ TV revealed the first poster for the drama featuring Hyeri and Jung Soo Bin. Webtoon-based drama “Friendly Rivalry” will premiere on February 10.

“Friendly Rivalry” is a mystery thriller drama that follows Seul Gi, a transfer student at Chaehwa Girls’ High School, a prestigious institution in South Korea. As Seul Gi navigates her new environment, she uncovers the dark desires of her classmates and becomes entangled in a mystery surrounding her father’s death.

Hyeri plays Yoo Je Yi, a high-achieving student from a wealthy family, known for her intelligence, beauty, and confidence. She develops a fascination with transfer student Woo Seul Gi. As they spend more time together, their relationship becomes increasingly complex.

Woo Seul Gi, who grew up in an orphanage, moves to Seoul and enrolls in Chaehwa High School, a top-tier school in South Korea. She has difficulty fitting in with her classmates. Yoo Je Yi, a student at the school, approaches her and they form a connection.

Kang Hye Won plays Joo Ye Ri, the school’s gossip queen, who is fixated on physical appearance and luxury brands. Oh Woo Ri takes on the role of Choi Kyung, the student who consistently ranks second in her class. Despite her hard work, Choi is always overshadowed by  Yoo Jae Yi.

Meanwhile, fans can watch “Friendly Rivalry” on U+TV mobile starting February 10.
