Former izna member Yoon Jiyoon has recently made headlines again—this time outside of the stage spotlight. The singer officially left izna in August after months on hiatus due to health concerns. WAKEONE, the group’s agency, explained that the decision was made with Jiyoon’s well-being as the top priority.
Her departure was a difficult moment for fans. As the main vocalist, Jiyoon had played a central role in izna, a rookie girl group formed through Mnet’s I-LAND 2 in 2024. Following her exit, the group continues activities as a six-member team, though many fans still feel her absence deeply.
On September 15, speculation about a possible romance between Jiyoon and Ryan surfaced after photos began circulating online. In the images, two people believed to be the pair were seen walking together on a busy street, with Ryan appearing to place a hand on Jiyoon’s shoulder.
Although the pictures do not clearly show their faces, similarities in appearance have fueled curiosity. The post shared by a Korean netizen has gone viral, showing the two together.
The other half of the rumor is Ryan Hwang, a Korean-American solo artist who entered the music scene earlier this summer. Born in New York in 2006, Ryan first gained recognition as a contestant on Mnet’s Boys II Planet. Although he was eliminated in the early stages, his charisma, fluent English, and confident personality stood out to viewers.
Before appearing on the survival show, Ryan trained under both SM Entertainment and FNC Entertainment, building experience that later helped him debut. On July 31, 2025, he released his first single, AROJIN, under WAYF Entertainment, marking his official solo debut.
At 186 cm tall, Ryan has also drawn attention as a model, and fans praise his skills in composition and swimming.
The rumors come at a sensitive time for both. Jiyoon is adjusting to life after leaving izna while focusing on her health, and Ryan is still promoting his debut single as he establishes himself as a soloist.
