Lee Chaeyeon has begun a new chapter in her career after signing an exclusive contract with the entertainment company DOD.
On December 12, the agency confirmed the partnership and shared new profile photos. DOD stated, “We have signed an exclusive contract with Lee Chaeyeon, who has a wide range of charms. We will spare no effort in supporting her so she can fully showcase her outstanding abilities and continue her unique and distinguished activities.”
Chaeyeon first rose to fame in 2018 as a member of the project girl group IZ*ONE after appearing on Mnet’s Produce 48. She was quickly loved for her strong dancing skills and confident stage presence. After the group’s disbandment, she built a steady solo career, releasing songs like “HUSH RUSH” and “KNOCK,” which earned her the nickname “Performance Queen.”
Over the past few years, she has expanded her work into acting, variety shows, and her own YouTube content. She connects with fans through offline events and her channel “Caric Caric Chaeyeon.”
Her new home, DOD, includes the subsidiary BTOB Company, where BTOB members Seo Eunkwang, Lee Minhyuk, Lim Hyunsik, and Peniel are signed. The company is growing into a wide-ranging entertainment business that handles music production, artist management, IP commerce, and live entertainment. This will give the former IZ*ONE member room to explore multiple fields.
This contract follows her departure from WM Entertainment earlier this year and comes after a busy period in which she released albums such as Hush Rush, Over the Moon, The Move: Street, and Showdown. She has also taken on drama roles, including her acting debut in Let’s Dance, while continuing to appear on variety shows like Kick a Goal.
