Former Loona Member Chuu Secures Victory in Second Trial For Invalidity of Exclusive Contract

Chuu, who used to be part of the group Loona, has won an appeal against her former agency.

On March 8, the 7th Civil Division of the Seoul High Court ruled in favor of Chuu, just like in the first trial. Chuu had filed a lawsuit against her former agency, Blockberry Creative, stating that she wanted them to confirm the invalidity of her exclusive contract.

The court stated regarding the lawsuit, “We judged that the first trial’s conclusion was reasonable.” 

Chuu filed her lawsuit against Blockberry Creative back in December 2021. She had conflicts with them regarding profit settlement and other issues. The court initially referred the case to mediation in March of the following year, but unfortunately, they couldn’t reach an agreement. 

As a result, legal proceedings were initiated once again. It’s been a long journey for Chuu, but her perseverance has paid off with this recent victory in the second trial.

Chuu, who had previously won her case in the first trial last July, has also emerged victorious in her second appeal. She is currently working under her ATRP.
