It seems Zoa (real name Cho Hye Won) from Weeekly will be diving into acting.
On February 26, 2025, all Weeekly members Soeun, Monday, Soojin, Jaehee, Jihan, and Zoa terminated their exclusive contract with IST Entertainment. Now, all members will sign with different agencies to pursue their individual activities. Zoa is the first one to sign a contract with a new agency and begin activities in earnest.
On April 16, it was revealed that ZoA signed an exclusive contract with acting agency Keyeast.
The label stated, ‘Cho Hye Won, who is a multi-talented artist with charm in singing, acting, and variety, and a strong passion for acting. We will give our full support to help her flourish as an actress. Please give Hyewon all your support for her new beginning.’
She expressed her excitement, saying, ‘I’m thrilled and excited to be starting anew at KeyEast, where so many respected seniors are. I will work hard to grow into an actress who can take on various genres and show sides of myself I haven’t revealed before, so please look forward to it.’
Keyeast manages notable Kdrama artists such as Cha Seung Wan, Han Sun Hwa, Han Hyun Jun, and Kang Han Na.
Cho Hye Won debuted in 2020 with the stage name Zoa, the main rapper and visual maknae of the girl group Weeekly. She started her acting career with the 2022 web film ‘3.5th Period’, which premiered on TVING. Now, with one of the biggest talent agencies in Korea, everyone is excited to see what she will do next
She will continue her career in the acting agency under her real name Cho Hye Won.
