Former YG Artists Jennie, G-Dragon, and Rosé Take Over the Top 5 on Domestic Charts

YG may have lost them, but the charts are still feeling their heat!

Former YG Entertainment artists G-Dragon, Jennie, and Rosé have completely taken over the charts with their solo releases.

After leaving their longtime label last year, the BLACKPINK members resumed their solo activities, and G-Dragon made a solo comeback with “POWER” on October 31, marking his first release in 7 years.

They have reclaimed their spots at the top of domestic music charts as successful soloists Following their departures from YG late last year, the trio has found new success with their respective labels: G-Dragon with Galaxy Corporation and EMPIRE, Rosé with THE BLACK LABEL and Atlantic Records, and Jennie with OA Entertainment and Columbia Records.

They parted ways from YG Entertainment around the same time and made their comebacks last month. Jennie led the charge with “Mantra” on October 11, followed by Rosé on October 18 with “APT.” and G-Dragon returned with “POWER” on October 31. Their long-awaited solo music has achieved chart-topping success.

As of November 1, Rosé and Bruno Mars’ “APT.” tops Melon’s ‘TOP 100’ chart, followed by G-Dragon’s “POWER” at 2nd and Jennie’s “Mantra” at 5th. Similarly, on Genie’s ‘Top 200’ chart, “APT.,” “POWER,” and “Mantra” hold the 1st, 2nd, and 5th spots.

Internationally, “Mantra” ranks 37th in the UK Official Singles Chart and 98th on Billboard’s HOT 100 chart.

Rosé broke Jennie’s record on the UK Official Singles Chart with “APT.,” reaching 4th place. She also topped the Spotify US chart and reached 8th on Billboard’s HOT 100, becoming the first K-pop solo female artist to do so.

The music video surpassed 200 million views in 11 days, setting a record for K-pop female solo artists.

G-Dragon’s “POWER” made a strong debut, topping domestic real-time charts and reaching 1.5 million YouTube views in one hour. It claimed #2 on Melon’s “Top 100” within five minutes, and earned a platinum certificate by selling over 250,000 copies in China within an hour and 15 minutes of release.

Lastly, Rosé and Jennie are gearing up to drop studio albums and G-Dragon is also expected to release more songs
