Following earlier rumors of an October comeback that were quickly debunked by his agency, new reports have emerged suggesting G-Dragon is planning a concert at Gocheok Sky Dome in November.
As reported by SPOTV News on August 2, it was revealed that G-Dragon has booked the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul and is gearing up for a concert this November.
The 36-year-old rapper has selected Gocheok Dome, a venue capable of supporting a large-scale production, for his upcoming concert. Although the venue has been booked for November, his agency, Galaxy Corporation, remains tight-lipped about the details, stating, ‘While a comeback is planned for the second half of the year, nothing has been officially confirmed.’
More recently, Park Myung Soo hinted at G-Dragon’s upcoming comeback in October, later Galaxy Corporation denied stating that the release date is not confined yet.
In addition, it was revealed that YG Entertainment transferred trademark rights of his stage names, G-Dragon and GD to him for free. Therefore, he’ll be able to use them for his solo activities and releases.
Gocheok Dome, with a capacity of around 16,000, is one of Seoul’s premier venues for large-scale concerts, alongside KSPO Dome. While the Seoul Sangam World Cup Stadium can accommodate up to 60,000 people, its grass maintenance issues make it a less accessible option. As a result, most artists opt for KSPO Dome, Gocheok Dome, or Inspire Arena in Incheon’s Yeongjong Island for their concerts.
Lastly, G-Dragon will likely release an album in the fall followed by the world tour.
