G-Dragon’s ability to pull off androgynous outfits is worthy of praise!
The K-pop icon’s fearless approach to fashion has always grabbed attention and appreciation from fans. Since returning to the spotlight in late 2024, he’s been serving up a plethora of stylish looks that have everyone talking, particularly his experimentation with head scarves.
This time at the 2025 Innovate Korea event, he effortlessly blended classic and street style.
Last year, G-Dragon took on a new role as a visiting professor at KAIST’s Mechanical Engineering Department. His appointment started in June 2024 and will run until June 2026.
He returned for his second visit, having previously attended the event last year to celebrate the appointment of a visiting professor in Mechanical Engineering.
As part of this collaboration, the 36-year-old K-pop star will work on joint research projects that combine KAIST’s advanced technologies with creative content from the arts and culture sector.
On April 9, G-Dragon attended the 2025 Innovate Korea event, where he wore an outfit that combined classic and street styles. His look featured an oversized blue check coat made from soft wool, with bold stitching details.
Underneath his coat, he wore an inner layer with a striped pattern and vertically striped pants. He completed his style with vintage, yellow-tinted sunglasses and a straw hat.
His outfit was finished with black Mary Jane shoes and yellow socks, an unconventional pairing. Mary Jane shoes are typically associated with women’s fashion, but G-Dragon wore them in a way that made them suitable for both men and women.
He accessorized the look with a flower-shaped necklace, earrings, and pink nail art. This look transformed the overall style into something more similar to a performance, rather than just a typical event outfit.
In January, he attended the Chanel SS25 Show in a standout look, featuring a two-piece with a black-and-white print and a large bow tie with white boots. It is not new for the “TOO BAD” singer to experiment with style.
Meanwhile, his agency Galaxy Corporation partnered with KAIST researchers to launch a project transmitting G-Dragon’s music and video into space. The collaboration coincided with NASA’s SETI project, which previously broadcast The Beatles’ music into space. On April 10, KAIST confirmed the successful transmission of his song “Home Sweet Home,” making him the first Korean artist to have music transmitted into space.
