With G-Dragon’s long-awaited comeback confirmed for the second half of the year, fans are now eagerly speculating about the exact month he will make his return.
On August 1, Park Myung Soo’s remarks on his radio show led many to believe that G-Dragon is making a comeback in October.
Shortly after it spread like wildfire, Galaxy Corporation, his agency swiftly addressed the rumors of October comeback.
The agency stated, “G-Dragon’s October comeback is not true. The specific time has not been decided yet, as he announced a comeback in the 2nd half of the year, he plans to release a new album within this year at the latest.”
Previously, the CEO of Galaxy Corporation announced his comeback for the 2nd half of the year followed by a world tour. He also talked about his comeback album in an interview with ELLE Korea and at the KAIST event, where he was appointed as a visiting professor.
G-Dragon dropped the last album, Kwon Ji Yong, in June 2017 and has not released any solo music since. So, this album is coming after a 7-year hiatus as a solo artist.
Kwon Ji Yong became his top-selling US album and the first by a Korean soloist to top the Billboard World Albums chart for multiple weeks.
Lastly, fans are eagerly awaiting an official announcement about the comeback date since it has been so long since the BIGBANG leader dropped new music.
