He secured the top spot on MelOn’s TOP100 chart with his latest release. This achievement puts him in good company, alongside BTS and IU as the only artists to debut at number one on the chart.

G-Dragon’s latest album has made an explosive debut on the charts. By 3 PM on February 25, the title track “TOO BAD” had already claimed the top spot on Melon’s TOP 100 chart. Other tracks from the album also secured prominent positions, including “DRAMA” (#5), “IBELONGIIU” (#8), “TAKE ME” (#10), “BONAMANA” (#14), and “GYRO-DROP” (#15).

Released at 2 PM today, songs from “Übermensch” have quickly taken over the top spots on the Melon HOT 100 chart, occupying positions #1 to #6.

Previously, BTS had also debuted at number one on the Melon TOP 100 chart with their 2022 song “Yet to Come”. Similarly, IU’s song “Love Wins All” starring BTS’ V also reached the top spot in January 2024.

The title song “TOO BAD” is a high-energy track with an irresistible beat that will get you moving from the very first note. It’s a collaboration with Anderson .Paak, a Korean-American singer-songwriter, rapper, and drummer.

Karina made a show-stopping cameo in “TOO BAD” music video, amplifying the excitement around his comeback. She stole the spotlight with her bold outfit, pairing a short red skirt with cute Mary Jane shoes. The video’s standout moment featured Karina and G-Dragon dancing a seamless duet in front of a classic vintage car.

The BIGBANG leader has released his first solo album in approximately 8 years, titled “Übermensch”, which translates to “a person who transcends” or “superhuman”. This title reflects G-Dragon’s aim to surpass his previous work and push beyond his own limits.

Meanwhile, G-Dragon will prepare for his upcoming world tour “Übermensch”, kicking off in Korea on March 29-30.
