K-drama fans, take note!
Geum Sae Rok and Lee Junho might soon unite on screen in tvN’s drama ‘Typhoon Company.’
The “Iron Family” actress is confirmed to join the upcoming tvN drama “Typhoon Company”, according to iMBC Entertainment on November 21.
Her agency, BH Entertainment, revealed, “We have received an offer for Geum Sae Rok to star in ‘Typhoon Company’ and are reviewing it favorably.”
Set against the backdrop of the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis, “Typhoon Company” tells the gripping story of a small to medium-sized business and its family as they navigate the challenges of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) crisis.
Geum Sae Rok plays Oh Mi Sook, Typhoon Company’s sales rep. A selfless eldest daughter, Mi Sook supports her family after losing her parents young.
With a background in accounting, Mi-sook faces a new challenge as she transitions from accounting to sales. Kang Tae Poong (Lee Junho) recognizes her potential and recruits her as a sales representative to rescue Typhoon Company from the brink of collapse amidst the 1997 IMF crisis.
The 2PM member Lee Junho has already been cast as Kang Tae Poong, the charismatic CEO of Typhoon Company. Now, Geum Sae Rok is set to join him as lead actress, playing Oh Mi Sook, a determined sales representative.
The drama is directed by Lee Na Jeong who previously helmed “Love Alarm,” “Fight For My Way,” “See You in My 19th Life,” and more.
Geum Sae Rok is currently starring in KBS2’s Saturday-Sunday drama “Iron Family.” On the other hand, Lee Junho has finished filming for the Netflix superhero drama “Cashero” and moving on to the next project.
Meanwhile, “Typhoon Company” is set to air on tvN next year.
