Girl’s Day, one of K-pop’s most beloved second-generation girl groups, has been making headlines after their reunion. Having debuted in 2010, the group celebrates their 15th debut anniversary this month. There were whispers that they may reunite to celebrate this major milestone despite their indefinite hiatus. They appeared on member Hyeri’s YouTube show, “Hyell’s Club,” giving fans a special treat.
The quartet, known for hits like “Something” and “Expectation,” officially went on hiatus in 2019 after their contracts with DreamT Entertainment expired. Six years later, fans are eager to know what the members are up to—and whether a comeback is really happening.
Where are Girl’s Day Members Now?
Hyeri (Lee Hye Ri)
Hyeri is the most publicly active of the quartet. After signing with Sublime Artist Agency in May 2024, she has firmly established herself as a top-tier actress and beloved variety star.
The 31-year-old idol actress appeared in dramas like “Reply 1988,” “My Roommate is a Gumiho”, and the cheerleading movie “Victory.” She’s also launched her popular YouTube talk show “Hyell’s Club” and continues to frequent variety programs.
Recently, she made headlines with reports of a relationship with dancer‑choreographer Woo Tae, whom she met on the “Victory” set. As per reports, the relationship has been ongoing privately for over a year, though the agency refuses to comment.
Yura (Kim Ah Young)
Yura has steadily carved out a niche in acting and broadcasting since Girl’s Day’s hiatus. Initially active in Chinese dramas like “Secret Angel” (2012), she later expanded into Korean dramas and became a sought-after host. Notable credits include “Be Arrogant”, “Iron Lady”, and hosting roles on “K-pop Star Season 4”, “Tasty Road”, and “Life Bar”.
Yura remains close with the other members; she made an appearance at the premiere of Hyeri’s film “Victory” in August 2024 alongside Sojin and Minah. The 32-year-old idol and actress also frequently appears on variety and reality shows like “Running Man.”
Minah (Bang Min Ah)
Minah has transitioned successfully into acting, taking lead roles in TV series “Beautiful Gong Shim” (2016) and “My Absolute Boyfriend” (2019). The 32-year-old idol made her solo debut with “I Am A Woman Too” in 2015 and continues to balance singing with acting.
Her personal life also made news: on July 4, 2025, Minah announced her upcoming marriage to actor On Joo Wan.
Sojin (Seo Sojin)
Sojin is making waves in the acting and theater world. She recently appeared in dramas like “Delightfully Deceitful,” “Cinderella at 2,” and the film “Swallow.” The 39-year-old actress continues to prove her acting chops in musicals as well.
Sojin tied the knot privately in November 2023, and all the Girl’s Day members attended the wedding ceremony.
Girl’s Day Reunion at “Hyell’s Club”
Though each member has been managed under different agencies since their 2019 hiatus, they maintain a warm friendship. To celebrate their 15th debut anniversary, all Girl’s Day members guested on Hyeri’s YouTube talk show, “Hyell’s Club.”
During the show, members Soojin, Yura, Minah, and Hyeri talked about their bond, food, last performance, and how much they missed meeting fans. Talking about the members, Soojin shared, “Saying something to the members, It’s strange. It is not quite like family.”
Yura added, “It’s a relationship you can’t even build with friends. We were in the same boat.”
They thanked fans for standing by them all these years and for supporting their solo journeys too. They expressed their hope that fans will keep cheering them on forever, even after their 20th anniversary and when they have families of their own.
Lastly, they performed a relay dance 2025 version and danced to their hit songs, “Female President,” “Something,” “Twinkle Twinkle,” and “Expectation.”
Has Girl’s Day Disbanded?
No, Girl’s Day hasn’t officially disbanded, but they have been on an indefinite hiatus since their last EP Everyday #5 in 2017.
In January 2019, the four members chose not to renew their contracts with Dream T Entertainment and signed with different agencies but emphasized they had not disbanded.
Since then, they have focused on solo activities, acting, variety shows, and music, while staying close personally.
In 2021, member Minah described a full group reunion as “difficult as of now,” citing scheduling and logistical challenges. Still, she remains hopeful it may happen in the future.
