Yoona from Girls’ Generation, Minho from SHINee, and Hwang Minhyun from NU’EST are teaming up as MCs for the MBC’s Gayo Daejejeon.
On December 8, MBC announced that Yoon-ah, Minho, and Hwang Minhyun will be the MCs for the 2023 MBC Gayo Daejejeon.
Yoona will be hosting Gayo Daejejeon for the 9th year in a row and she’ll be reuniting with Minho after 5 years. They did a great job together as MCs for Gayo Daejejeon back in 2018.
It’s getting a lot of attention that Hwang Minhyu from HYBE label, Pledis, will be serving as an MC for the first Gayo Daejejeon after the reconciliation between HYBE and MBC.
Last month, HYBE and MBC reached an agreement and resolved their long-standing dispute. Now, HYBE artists are allowed to appear in MBC shows.
Gayo Daejejeon 2023 is scheduled to broadcast on December 31. Lastly, Stray Kids, (G)I-DLE, TXT, aespa, ENHYPEN, NMIXX, and BOYNEXTDOOR are confirmed to perform at the music festival.
