The controversies and accusations keep swirling around Ryu Jun Yeol following dating rumors with Han Sohee have come to light.

The buzz about Han Sohee and Ryu Jun Yeol shows no signs of calming down, with new developments emerging daily.

Recently, Greenpeace, a global environmental group, spoke out about its ambassador for public relations, actor Ryu Jun Yeol, who is caught up in a greenwashing scandal.

In a recent statement to a media outlet, Greenpeace stated, “Ryu Jun Yeol, as our ambassador, has been actively involved in various Greenpeace campaigns since 2016 and is also a sponsor of Greenpeace.”

They further added, “Based on his willingness to participate in various environmental campaigns in the future,” and added, “in April 2023, we appointed Ryu Jun Yeol as the first promotional ambassador for Greenpeace East Asia.”

Addressing the greenwashing controversy, a representative of the organization stated, “We will use this as an opportunity to review and discuss internal regulations related to public relations ambassadors.”

The Reply 1988 actor, who grabbed attention for being involved in rumors of a transit relationship with actress Han Sohee, also found himself in a greenwashing controversy. A golf photo he shared on social media in the past stirred up trouble.

Golf is a sport that many environmental organizations highlight as a major contributor to environmental harm. Furthermore, at an event on March 19, he was seen carrying a calf leather bag, a look that doesn’t align well with his role as a public relations ambassador for an environmental group.

Greenwashing is when companies or individuals try to appear more environmentally friendly than they actually are. It involves misleading people by making their products or actions seem better for the environment than they truly are.

Netizens expressed their frustration by demanding Greenpeace to revoke his role as public relations ambassador and withdraw his sponsorship.
