Ha Yoon Kyung is reportedly in talks to join Ahn Bo Hyun and Lee Sung Min in an upcoming JTBC historical drama.
The new drama God’s Beads drama will mark her return to the small screen following her confirmation for a special cameo in the Netflix series The Frog starring Go Minsi, Kim Yeon Seok, and more.
God’s Beads is a historical drama that tells the story of an expedition team’s risky journey to retrieve a sacred relic of great national importance.
Earlier reports confirmed that Ahn Bo Hyun and Lee Sung-min were in talks to star in God’s Beads as Baek Gyul and Choi Gu, respectively. Now, Ha Yoon Kyung has been officially added to the lead cast, joining Ahn Bo Hyun and Lee Sung Min.
Notably, Ha Yoon Kyung first worked with Ahn Bo Hyun in tvN’s See You in My 19th Life and later made a special appearance as his ex-girlfriend in SBS’s Flex X Cop earlier this year.
The 31-year-old actress, who has previously collaborated with Ahn Bo Hyun twice before, is set to reunite with him for the third time in God’s Beads.
The drama is penned by Jung Hyun Min, known for writing in Nokdu Flower, Assembly, and Jeong DoJeon.
Acclaimed director Jung Dae Yoon, known for his work on hit series such as She Was Pretty, Reborn Rich, W: Two Worlds Apart, and I’m Not a Robot, is set to helm God’s Beads. This project marks a reunion between Jung Dae Yoon and actor Lee Sung Min, who previously collaborated on the 2022 hit series Reborn Rich.
Lastly, Ha Yoon Kyung is known for her appearances in Gangnam B-Side, Dr. Romantic 3, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Hospital Playlist, and more.
