South Korean actress Han So Hee has spoken out about the recent arrest of her mother, who was charged with operating illegal gambling establishments.
On September 3, her agency 9ato Entertainment revealed her official position stating, “Regarding the matter related to Han So Hee’s mother, it is a highly personal issue that her mother has caused, and Han So Hee herself has only learned about it through news articles, and is unable to express her devastated feelings.
Again, we would like to emphasize that this incident is entirely unrelated to Han So Hee, but rather a personal matter of her mother’s own doing. We apologize for sharing uncomfortable news about her personal life, rather than her work.”
On September 2, it was reported that Han So Hee’s mother was taken into custody for allegedly operating illegal gambling facilities. According to the report, her mother was involved in managing 12 gambling establishments in various locations, including Ulsan and Wonju, from 2021 until last month, allegedly under the guise of a business president.
On the work front, she is currently filming for her upcoming drama Project Y along with Jeon Jong Seo.
