Hearts2Hearts is already on a record-breaking spree with their debut single album!
The newest group from SM Entertainment entered the K-pop scene with their debut single album “The Chase” on February 24. The album, containing two songs, was hugely awaited by K-pop fans.
On the first day of release, Hearts2Hearts’ debut single album “The Chase” sold 231,648 copies. With this, they recorded the 2nd-highest 1st-day sale for a debut album by a girl group, only surpassed by NewJeans’ “New Jeans” (262,815).
Notably, they surpassed the debut 1st-day sales achieved by LE SSERAFIM’s “FEARLESS” (176,861), Kep1er’s “FIRST IMPACT” (150,153), aespa’s “Savage” (147,195). They are the first group to be introduced by SM Entertainment after aespa’s debut in 2025. Considering that they surpassed the 1st-day debut album sales of aespa, fans have high expectations from the group.
When talking about the rookie groups’ debut this year so far, they recorded the second-highest sales, only surpassed by KickFlip’s “Flip It, Kick It”, (243,949).
Hearts2Hearts’ “The Chase” has two catchy songs, a title track of the same name and b-side song “Butterflies”.
The title track “The Chase” is a dreamy song with a unique bass synth sound. Inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, the lyrics convey a message of self-empowerment and excitement for the future.
“Butterflies” is a mid-tempo R&B song with rich vocal harmonies, bass lines, and guitar melodies. The lyrics capture the moment when dreams become reality.
Meanwhile, Hearts2Hearts will begin debut album promotions with appearances on several entertainment programs and music shows. They also held a fan showcase today to connect with fans.
