The summer will heat up with comebacks from popular K-pop acts.
Besides rookie group ILLIT, SM Entertainment’s newly debuted girl group Hearts2Hearts will make a comeback in June.
On April 30, a Korean media outlet reported that the 7-member K-pop girl group will make their first comeback in June.
An SM Entertainment official confirmed to Dispatch via phone call, “Hearts2Hearts is preparing for a comeback in June. We ask for your anticipation.” The official mentioned, “Unlike their debut song, they’re preparing a brighter-feeling track,” and added that the album is still in production.
This new digital single release is happening 4 months after their debut single album “The Chase” on February 24, 2025. “The Chase,” containing two tracks “The Chase”, and “Butterflies”, became the highest-selling debut release by a K-pop girl group in the first week, recording 408,800 copies.
They dethroned BABYMONSTER, who sold 401,287 copies with 1st debut album “BABYMONS7ER”. Hearts2Hearts’ “The Chase” also surpassed ILLIT’s “SUPER REAL ME” (380,056 copies), and NewJeans “New Jeans” (311,271 copies).
The group also won first place on a music show just 15 days after their launch, the fastest win for a girl group in SM Entertainment’s history.
SM Entertainment introduced its newest girl group, Hearts2Hearts, the company’s first female act since aespa’s debut in 2020. The eight-member ensemble represents SM’s return to larger girl group formations, coming nearly 18 years after Girls’ Generation’s iconic debut in 2007.
The group comprises seven Korean members – Jiwoo, Yuha, Stella, Juun, A-na, Ian, and Yeon – along with Indonesian member Carmen, making her SM’s first Indonesian female artist.
Meanwhile, Hearts2Hearts will perform at the “Seoul Spring Festa Wonder Show” today at 7 PM at Sangam World Cup Stadium in Seoul.
