Hwang In Yeop, the heartthrob who stole viewers’ hearts in “Family By Choice”, is considering his next project – and it’s a romance drama!
The 33-year-old actor wrapped 2024 on a high note with the conclusion of JTBC’s 16-episode drama “Family by Choice.” Adapted from Cdrama “Go Ahead”, the last episode of the drama aired on November 27.
According to Rakuten Viki, the show ranked #1 in 140 countries and held the top spot for 6 weeks in 88 countries, including the US, UK, and India.
On January 8, JTBC reported that Hwang In Yeop has been cast as the male lead in the new drama “Dream to You”. The script was penned by acclaimed writer Jung Eun Bi (“To You”, “Beauty Inside”, “Doom At Your Service”).
“Dream to You” is a heartwarming romantic comedy that follows the lives of two individuals, Lee Jae and Woo Soo Bin.
The story explores Lee Jae’s journey from her fearless teenage years to her frustrating 20s and eventually, her 30s, where she becomes just another ordinary adult.
On the other hand, Woo Soo Bin, played by Hwang In Yeop, is a film director who breaks free from his sheltered upbringing. His character transitions from a sheltered teenager to an independent adult who achieves his dreams.
His agency KN Studio confirmed that the “True Beauty” actor is “reviewing” the offer.
Hwang In Yeop will star in the upcoming drama “A Dream for You”, building on the success of his last drama “Family By Choice”. A broadcast date for the new drama has not been announced yet.
