BTS is finally gearing up for their long-awaited comeback. Multiple sources have confirmed to The Korea Herald that the group is expected to return as a full unit in March 2026. While HYBE has not yet finalized the exact date, insiders say the comeback will likely happen in mid-March.
The group’s military enlistment period will finally be over by this weekend with Suga’s discharge on June 21, 2025. Fans have been waiting for official news on when the group would reunite. According to the HYBE CEO, the group will need time to prepare before releasing new music.
Some sources also shared that BTS might return around the same time as labelmates TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT). There is a chance BTS could release something first, or TXT might lead the March lineup. Other groups under HYBE, like ENHYPEN, have also adjusted their schedules to make room for BTS’s return. The source said
“It has been reported that BTS’s comeback is set for March next year. Although the exact date has not been decided, it is highly likely to be in mid-March. I heard they will return around the same time as their brother group, Tomorrow X Together (TXT). It could be BTS first, or TXT might return first.”
BIGHIT MUSIC has stated that no final decision has been made regarding the comeback schedule. However, insiders believe that even if the full album release takes more time, BTS could drop a pre-release single or a special project before their official comeback.
The HYBE’s CEO added, “We are preparing alongside top-tier producers, but the artists also need time to reflect and reorganize themselves.”
Fans got a small taste of the reunion at BTS member j-hope’s encore concert to celebrate the group’s 12th anniversary on June 13. Jin, along with Jungkook, who was recently discharged, joined the celebrations and shared heartfelt moments with fans. The HYBE building was also lit up with messages hinting at the group’s upcoming return.
While March may feel far off, HYBE’s CEO had already said earlier this year that the group would need time to rest and focus on creating their best work. BTS’s return is expected to be carefully planned, with the company taking its time to ensure a meaningful comeback.
In the meantime, Jin will kick off his solo fan concert “RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR” later this month, visiting cities in Japan, the United States, the UK, and Europe through August.
Fans worldwide are now counting down the days until BTS is back together on stage. More updates are expected in the coming months.
