On July 24, a representative of HYBE shared their official stance to a Korean media outlet Joy News 24 on the rumors, stating, “CEO Park Jiwon’s resignation has not been decided.”

Earlier today, a media report emerged claiming that HYBE CEO Park Jiwon would be stepping down from his position and departing HYBE after serving the company for four years.”

According to sources, CEO Park has shared his plans to leave HYBE after successfully securing external investment for an affiliate. The agency is expected to disclose details of his replacement once his resignation is finalized.

He previously led Nexon Korea as CEO from 2014 to 2020 and made a significant career shift by joining Big Hit Entertainment (now HYBE) as CEO in May 2020.

As the company behind K-pop powerhouses like BTS, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, SEVENTEEN,  and ENHYPEN, HYBE’s leadership has been a subject of interest for fans and industry observers alike.

HYBE is currently dealing with a public conflict with ADOR’s CEO, Min Hee Jin. While this issue remains unresolved, the agency may face another challenge: the potential resignation of its own CEO, Park Jiwon.
