Singer and actress Hyeri (31, real name Lee Hyerii) is reportedly in a relationship with dancer Woo Tae (34, real name Chae Woo Tae).
On July 1, her agency Sublime refused to confirm or deny the romance rumors after local media outlets reported that Hyeri and Wootae have been dating for about a year.
A representative from Sublime told Xports News regarding the dating rumor with Woo Tae, “We cannot confirm it as it concerns the actor’s private life.”
According to My Daily, the two first met while filming the movie Victory, which was released last year.
In the film, Hyeri played the passionate rookie leader of the cheerleading club Millennium Girls. She performed choreography for songs as a cheerleader. Wootae worked as a choreography teacher for Victory alongside dancer Kinky, which led to their first meeting.
An insider shared that Hyeri and Woo Tae first got close while practicing choreography on location in Geoje, Gyeongnam, and continued their relationship quietly in Seoul after filming wrapped.
They have been discreet, but they have been together for nearly a year.
Another source added, “They became close because they were there for each other during difficult times, so their bond is affectionate and sincere.”
Hyeri debuted as a member of Girls’ Day in 2010 and has since built a successful career as an actress. Earlier this year, she starred in the drama Friendly Rivalry and is currently on a fan meeting tour visiting ten cities across Asia.
Wootae is a dancer and choreographer who gained wider recognition after appearing on Mnet’s Street Man Fighter in 2022.
As of now, fans are waiting for an official statement from Hyeri’s agency to confirm whether the couple’s relationship is true.
