At a recent press conference, Hyunjin opened up about his creative journey and the process behind his involvement in ‘Cover Me‘. A media showcase for Stray Kids’ upcoming album ROCK-STAR was held on November 10.
Stray Kids’ latest album has an amazing tracklist. It includes a song Cover Me that features Hyunjin’s incredible talent as a songwriter and composer. This is the first self-composed song by Hyunjin which was included in Stray Kids’ album.
Besides Hyunjin, Bang Chan was also involved in the writing and composing of the song, Cover Me. With the latest release, Hyunjin started getting involved in songwriting too. His first self-composed song, Cover Me, made it onto the album.
Hyunjin mentioned that he got the track from Bang Chan and then wrote the top line and lyrics for it. He expressed how it made him feel grand and overwhelmed. The Contradicting said, ‘I think it will feel more exciting when performed with the members.”
Hyunjin and Bang Chan have teamed up again for their second collaboration, following Obsessed in 2021. Bang Chan expressed how he recognized Hyunjin’s incredible potential and wanted to ensure that his talent was fully appreciated. He was so impressed by Hyunjin’s skills that he even expressed his desire to work with him in the future.
