BRIIZE (RIIZE fandom) is over the moon as
Seunghan will officially rejoin the group next month.
On October 11, SM Entertainment released a lengthy statement, announcing his return to RIIZE after nearly a year.
The label also apologized to fans for not giving them any updates on his return during his hiatus and causing concern.
Nearly an hour after the announcement, Seunghan took to Weverse to share a handwritten letter, apologizing to fans and members for disappointing them.
In his letter, Seunghan wrote:
“First of all, I want to sincerely apologize to the members and fans.
When the pre-debut photos were revealed, even though it was me in those photos, I felt deep disappointment and regret towards myself.
But I can not even begin to imagine how the members and fans felt. You must have been shocked, angry, and disappointed.
At such an important moment, the very start of everything, I feel deeply sorry for disappointing the fans who supported me and for hurting those affected by my immature actions.
I also feel sorry for the members who had to keep moving forward without me. That’s why I had to take a sudden break from activities. I want to apologize to everyone who had to endure the difficulty of overcoming that situation.
I also felt a sense of despair about not being able to be with everyone during those times.
Because I caused such deep disappointment, I started wondering if I would ever be able to stand on stage again or if I could continue making music. These thoughts became more realistic for me. During that time, the members reached out to me again.
It must have been a very difficult decision for them, but I am so grateful for the opportunity they gave me, and I feel sorry at the same time.
The members who reached out to me again, the fans who might be worried that the progress we were making before would be ruined, I am aware of how much I need to show and prove to live up to the expectations of everyone, including the company, who made the difficult decision.
I feel the burden of it, and of course, there is fear as well. However, I am determined to work even harder and do better because I know how much support I have received. I will work hard to be a good member and make sure not to hinder the progress the members have made.
I want to become an indispensable part of the team, RIIZE.
Once again, I apologize to the members, the staff at the company, and the fans who were shocked. I promise to work harder and carry out my activities with a greater sense of responsibility.”
Lastly, Seunghan went on haitus last year, around 2 months following debut with RIIZE, after his pre-debut, intimate photos with his girlfriend went viral. Meanwhile, he will rejoin RIIZE and participate in scheduled activities next month.
