 ‘I-LAND 2′ Unveils 12 Finalists for Part 2, 8 Contestants Eliminated

The top 12 survivors for Part 2 of Mnet’s I-LAND 2 were revealed on June 6, kicking off the intense competition for a spot in the new girl group. The debut survival journey has officially begun for these 12 talented trainees.

The contestants that made it to Part 2 of the program include Mai, Choi Jung Eun, Ryu Sarang, Jeong Saebi, Yoon Jiyoon, Fuko, Kim Gyuri, Son Juwon, Bang Jeemin, Kim Sujung, Nam Yuju, and Koko. Out of the 12 finalists, Mai, Choi Jung Eun, Jeong Saebi, Ryu Sarang, Yoon Jiyoon, and Fuko were already chosen by the producer for Part 2.

Meanwhile, eight contestants unfortunately saw their journey come to an end, bidding farewell to the show and embarking on their own individual paths.

The contestants that were eliminated include Uhm Jiwon, Oh Yuna, Lingling, Kim Minsol, Kim Chaeeun, Yui, Park Yeeun, and Choi Soul. The eliminated contestants were overcome with emotion, tearfully hugging their fellow competitors and bidding a sad farewell to the show.

On episode 7 aired on June 6, the top-ranking finalists with the most number of votes were Bang Jeemin (2,015,422), Koko (1,799,728), Nam Yuju (1,722,383), Kim Sujung (1,646,478), Son Juwon (1,077,549), and Kim Gyuri (1,036, 678).

On another note, the I-LAND 2 debut group will perform at KCON LA on July 28.
