ILLIT in a teaser for 'bomb,' and Kang Daniel for 'Glow to Haze'

Multiple K-pop acts released new music on Monday, June 16!

Rookie group ILLIT released their 3rd mini-album ‘bomb’ with the lead single ‘Do the Dance.’ On the other hand, Kang Daniel made a quick return with his 6th mini-album, Glow to Haze, after releasing an English single, Mess, in April.

ILLIT achieved their highest first-day sales yet with ‘bomb’, while soloist Kang Daniel saw his lowest-ever opening numbers with ‘Glow to Haze’.

ILLIT’s 3rd Mini-Album ‘bomb’

ILLIT’s ‘bomb‘ exploded onto the charts with an impressive 326,117 copies sold in its first 24 hours. They surpassed their previous record of 298,310 set just months prior. The HYBE-backed group continues their meteoric rise since debut.

ILLIT made a comeback roughly eight months after the release of their sophomore mini-album, I’LL LIKE YOU (October 2024). The album sold 298,310 copies on its debut day. Previously, their debut mini-album SUPER REAL ME, released in March, had recorded 142,307 copies.

‘bomb’ debuted at No. 12 on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart, and reached #1 in multiple regions. The upbeat, cutesy ‘Do The Dance’ music video has surpassed 5.5 million views within 15 hours. Other b-side songs include ‘Little Monster,’ ‘Jellyous,’ ‘Bamsopoong,’ and ‘Oops!.’

Kang Daniel’s 6th Mini-Album ‘Glow to Haze’

This is possibly Kang Daniel’s final comeback before he enlists in the military later this year. The 28-year-old soloist released his sixth mini-album ‘Glow to Haze’ on June 16. The album sold 44,729 copies on its first day, setting a new low for his album releases so far.

Kang Daniel achieved the highest first-day sales with his solo debut album ‘Color on Me,’ selling 342,218 copies. His previous comeback album, ‘ACT,’ released in September, sold 72,440 copies on the first day.

‘Glow to Haze’ settled at #18 on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart. The music video of the title track ‘Episode’ has garnered 1.5 million views on YouTube in less than 24 hours. B-sides include ‘Little Bit Lose,’ ‘One Call Away,’ ‘Movie Star,’ and ‘Love Game.’
