ILLIT will officially be in the running for the “Summer Queen” title with their upcoming summer comeback album.
On May 19, BELIFT LAB announced their upcoming album, “bomb” via Weverse. As described by the label, “bomb” is about
ILLIT interacting with “you” to expand the world with their unique attitude.
Last month, BELIFT announced they are in the final stages of preparation for their upcoming album, set to drop in mid-June.
This is the group’s first comeback album “bomb” of 2025 after the successful release of their 2nd mini-album ‘I’LL LIKE YOU’ in October last year. This release will coincide with ILLIT’s first fan concert, “2025 ILLIT GLITTER DAY IN SEOUL”, scheduled for June 7-8 at Olympic Hall. Fans speculate that the group may preview new tracks or hint at the choreography during the event.
Since their March 2024 debut, ILLIT has taken over the K-pop scene with a series of successful releases. Their debut mini-album “SUPER REAL ME” has sold nearly 700,000 copies on the Circle Chart.
With their debut album, ILLIT made an impressive debut at number 93 on the Billboard 200, a rare feat for a rookie group. The album’s lead single, “Magnetic”, became a global sensation. It entered both the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Singles Chart, making ILLIT the first K-pop debut act to achieve this milestone.
Their second mini-album, “I’LL LIKE YOU”, released in October 2024, debuted at No. 94 on the Billboard 200. Tracks like “Cherish (My Love)” gained significant traction in Japan and other global markets.
In February 2025, ILLIT released “Almond Chocolate”, a Japanese single featured as the OST for the film “It Takes More Than a Pretty Face to Fall in Love”. The group later performed the Korean version of the song on music shows.
Now, they gear up to drop “bomb” next month, everyone is waiting to see if they will score their second Billboard HOT 100 hit.
Meanwhile, ILLIT’s third mini-album “bomb” will hit music platforms on June 16, with pre-orders starting Monday, May 19.
